Puma unveil radical commuter range

How would this affect your street-cred?

It’s that time of year again when we reveal the latest models for the forthcoming 12 months – what will be gracing the roads in 2010/11?

But Puma, in collaboration with Danish designers Kibisi and bike builders Biomega, have taken the idea of urban cycling to new heights with their latest launch: the Puma Mopion Commuter.

No longer will shopping bags be balanced off the ‘bars – or at least that’s the idea.

The design of the bicycle has changed little since its invention in the 19th Century but could this be the frame for the future?

It’s part of Puma’s Urban Mobility range which, in their words, aims to “redefine the urban ride” with “a distinct level of cool to reflect Puma’s DNA”.

The Mopion will hit the shops in spring 2011 and is available in white, black or the magenta, blue and lime arrangement above.
