It’s the time of year when it’s accurate to report that the season is already in full swing and, if anything, about to get busier. Just ask Mark Cavendish. Three times a winner already this week at the Tour of Turkey, taking his tally for the season to six victories, the British road race champion already looks well placed to launch an effective campaign to win back the Tour de France green jersey he last wore in Paris in 2011.
