Science in Sport launch Whey20 protein gel

Whey20 delivers 20g of dairy protein to aid fast recovery on the go

Science in Sport have launched a new protein product, Whey20, designed to be consumed like an energy gel but straight after exercise in order to aid recovery.

Science in Sport say Whey20 provides a fast, high protein snack without the need for water or a shaker. It contains  20g of dairy protein, 1.8g of carbohydrate, 0.1g of fat and 88 calories in each serving.

The gel is said to take like a yoghurt but doesn’t need to be refrigerated and is available in lemon and strawberry flavours.

Science in Sport’s Emma Barraclough has told us previously of the importance protein plays in recovery for cyclists, with the general advice being to refuel within 30 minutes of training to maximise the benefit of raised metabolism and aiding muscle recovery.

Science in Sport say Whey20 can also be used with or between meals to help increase daily protein intake.

Whey protein has one of the fastest-known digestion rates and a high BCAA (branched-chain amino acid) content, making it ideal for maintaining body composition and lean muscle mass.

Whey20 costs £7.99 for a pack of four or £23.99 for a pack of 12. For more information visit www.scienceinsport.com.
