2-year ban for Millar

The BCF have stripped David Millar of his 2003 World Elite Time Trial title and given him a two-year racing ban .

The decision was taken after a hearing of an independent disciplinary panel which heard from several sources, including Millar himself, who had earlier admitted to using EPO on several occasions in the past. According to the BBC, Millar would have retired had he received a four-year ban, but with a punishment of half that time it remains unclear whether or not he’ll return to professional cycling.

Millar’s world time trail title now goes to Australian Michael Rogers.
