RCUK has added several features to the Classic Cols trip all set for 18-25th September 2005 First of all there is a complimentary Etape place (even for those already signed up for the Classic Cols experience) courtesy of RoadCyclingUK, we’d like to look at it as a starting point for training for next year’s Etape, so look at it as a little inspiration and a way of making sure you’re on the start line come next July! Also, former Professional rider and full time coach, John Ibbotson from Fit-For will be on hand all week. He will be able to provide one to one coaching, technique and training advice ‘on-the-road’. And of course RCUK will be there too, so you can take pleasure in watching us suffer too… We still have a limited number of places available and we will be closing the trip at the end of this month, so if you are still mulling it all over, get your skates on!
What the trip has in store… On this trip you’ll see more of the Pyrenees than the Tour riders do as we tackle 15 of the most memorable Pyrenean leg stretchers. Including Hautacam, Luz Ardidien and Superbagneres. An average of 70kms a day will mean you still have plenty of energy for the next day’s climbing and the night-time accommodation is a mixture of Hotels and Auberges. The beauty of this trip is your luggage travels from point to point as you are guided by an experienced Exodus guide. All you have to do is ride. No map reading and no panniers to worry about! Seeing as this is a special RCUK trip you can be certain of some added extras and we will be bringing T-shirts, freebies and a camera – so it could be your chance to get your mug on the Gallery cresting the Col de Tourmalet!
The Cols
Full RCUK Price: £739 per person (flying on direct B.A flights ex LGW-Toulouse) In addition, the standard local payment of 75 euros will apply. The costing is based on all passengers sharing a room and optional single supplements are not possible on this tour.
