Among the many goodies on display on the Brooks stand at Eurobike 2010 was a new range of saddles in a pale tan finish made, according to Brooks, using a particularly durable and stiff “organic” leather sourced from a farm in Sweden. The Select Organic range has been developed in consultation with ultra-distance and round-the-world riders, many of whom favour Brooks saddles for their durability.
Despite this attribute, even a regular Brooks saddle may not have quite the lifespan desired by some owners. Saddles in the new seven-model organic leather range addresse their needs, taking longer to break in and retaining their shape over a greater lifespan and longer timescale than the standard models.

The Select Organic saddles have a natural, non-dyed colouring to minimise the environmental impact of their manufacture and use an environmentally-friendly crinkle-finish coating for the metal work. Other colours may be introduced in due course.
