Revolution unveil 300 Lumen front light – just in

New from Revolution, the in-house brand from the Edinburgh Bicycle Co-Operative, is the Vision 300 rechargeable LED front light.

We’ve just had one arrive at RCUK and it retails at £99.99. Five output modes are available – 300 Lumen full power constant beam, 180 Lumen standard beam, 90 Lumen energy saver constant beam, quick flash and slow flash.

Run time is a stated 3.5 hours on full power, nearly six hours on standard mode and 10 hours on the energy saver setting. So we’re guessing flash mode should keep going even longer. Weight is 100g for the lamp, 46g for the Li-Ion battery and 26g for the bracket. That’s 172g all in.

The Vision 300 is powered by a XP GR5 LED manufactured by market leaders Cree. On paper, three hundreds Lumens will have you lit up like a Christmas tree on your commute, while it should provide just about enough power for training now the nights have drawn in. We’ll let you know when it’s reviewed a little further down the line.
