The bike Chris Hoy will race against Lewis Hamilton in Sunday’s Race of Champions is built around a standard Dolan DF3 carbon track frame modified to accept a rear brake. The frame’s standard track fork has been replaced by an Alpina Wing TT fork, again with brake caliper. The machine wears steel Deda Velocita track bars to handle Chris Hoy’s powerful accelerations. Sugino cranks and bottom bracket transmit’s Hoy’s 2kW-plus plus via a 50 tooth chainring and Izumi chain to a 16 tooth freewheel.
Says Dolan; “Hamilton has only got a McLaren.”
