“It’s an incredible, formidable lineup this year and I’m so excited to be starting as part of this team in my second year.”
Those were the words of Mark Cavendish after Belgian super team Omega Pharma-Quickstep was presented to the media and fans ahead of the 2014 season.
Introduced to cheering fans at Ghent’s Eddie Merckx Velodrome, the team have high hopes for the season ahead – with Cav’s number one target
being a yellow jersey after stage one of the Tour de France.
With Classics king Tom Boonen, climbing ace Rigoberto Uran and world time trial champion Tony Martin also among their ranks, it promises to be another strong season for OPQS.
