Tour de France 2013: stage 21 – photo gallery

In France’s famous capital city, on its most famous street, the 100th edition of cycling’s most famous race drew to a close as the sun set.

One year on from the first British winner of the Tour de France, Team Sky were celebrating again as Chris Froome emulated the achievement of Sir Bradley Wiggins by clinching cycling’s greatest prize.

The Kenyan-born Brit’s comprehensive victory was all-but-sealed before the peloton rolled out of the stunning grounds of the Chateau Versailles and onto the Champs-Élysées.

But there was still time for one last stage of thrills and spills as the Tour bid farewell for another year, with Marcel Kittel underlining his sprinting credentials by beating Mark Cavendish on the street the Manxman has made his own in recent years.

See how the final thrilling stage of an enthralling Tour panned out through the lens of UCI WorldTour photographer Stefano Sirotti in this gallery of images.
