Stage five of the Tour of Poland may have finished in Slovakia, but it was the Poles who had cause for celebration as Rafal Majka stormed to the stage win.

Majka launched a perfectly timed attack to take victory on the line, with his effort initially ruled to be enough to have taken on the yellow jersey.

And while Petr Vakoc was later judged to have maintained the overall lead by just one second, Majka will ride the mountainous stage six in buoyant mood as his fine season continued.
