While Grand Tour winners Vincenzo Nibali (Astana), Chris Froome (Team Sky) and Chris Horner (RadioShack-Leopard) have rightly earned the plaudits this year, 2013 was also another great season for the fast men.

From sprinting king Mark Cavendish (Omega Pharma-Quickstep) winning the Giro d’Italia’s maglia rosso to the Manx Missile being ‘dethroned’ on the Champs-Elysees by Marcel Kittel (Argos-Shimano), there has been no shortage of high octane battles between a world class field of sprinters.
