Festival of Sport Sportive routes announced

Organisers of the Human Race Festival of Sport Sportive in Cornwall have announced route details for the event, which will take place on Saturday September 15.

Riders will enjoy views of St. Michael’s Mount on the Festival of Sport Sportive

The sportive, which is part of the three-day festival, comprises of two distances, as well as a female-only 40km Cycletta ride. Starting from Marazion, both sportive routes head west along the dramatic Cornish coastline, taking in views of St Michael’s Mount, before passing through Penzance en-route Land’s End.

The route will then head back east towards Cape Cornwall, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, before heading along the north coast of Cornwall. The routes will then split at Gwithian. Those riding the 100km course will travel back southbound towards the finish in Marazion, while those tackling the longer 150km route will carry on along the coastal road to the popular village of St Agnes, before cutting down towards Devoran and back to the finish.

Riders will benefit from frequent and well-stocked feed-stations, signed routes, live timing sent to their mobile phones, finish line media coverage, a finisher’s medal, moto safety marshals and mechanical support.
