Fancy organising events on the scale of the Wiggle Dragon Ride?

Human Race, the company behind the Dragon Ride, the Etape Cymru, and next year’s Yorkshire Festival of Cycling, is on the hunt for an Operations Manager.

If planning and organising events to ensure that everything runs smoothly on the day, and developing new concepts and venues sounds like your thing, read on.

The Chessington-based firm has 50 events in its portfolio, including running, duathlon, off-road cycling, and open water swimming, as well as road cycling.

Key responsibilities include organising events to Event Director level, maintaining relationships with third parties, such as councils, suppliers and venues, and producing documentation like maps, site plans, and operations manuals.

Anyone hoping to take on the role will also have to manage budgets, equipment, and to liaise with suppliers,  Human Race’s senior management and sales and marketing teams.

Human Race are seeking applicants with a minimum of two years experience in event management, their own car, and a full driving licence.

You’ll need to get your application in by November 10, 2013. Human Race expect to start interviews just over a week later.
