Ride the Trafalgar Way – Saturday October 17 to Sunday October 18
Tackling 500km across two days, the inaugural Ride the Trafalgar Way Sportive, otherwise known as Colossus, will take place the weekend before Trafalgar Day.
Following the same route as used by Lieutenant Lapenotière, carrying news of victory at the Battle of Trafalgar and the death of Lord Nelson in 1805, the Colossus travels from Falmouth to London.
Taking on the format of a team relay, participants are challenged to complete the event in just 24 hours.
Three further sportives are also available, which will run independently from the main event over the weekend, travelling from Falmouth to Exeter, Exeter to Salisbury and Salisbury to London.
Organisers say the route for the main event has been in planning for the last two years and the full course includes 5,899m of climbing.
An early bird discount applies until February 11 at www.ridethetrafalgarway.com.
