We believe Cannondale’s CAADX Disc Ultegra is a great example of the modern ‘cross utility bike – be it for an all-weather commute, winter training, or a machine on which to tackle a ‘cross course.
We put it through its paces in all of those scenarios; tackling the urban sprawl of the capital, a hack around the woods – rain-soaked naturally – and a local cyclo-cross course.
And the machine – equipped with Shimano’s 11-speed Ultegra groupset – acquitted itself rather well.
