Tom Stewart’s Genesis Zero Team
Tom Stewart’s Genesis Zero Team
Granted its race debut at the Tour of Britain, Genesis’ first carbon-fibre bike was certainly tested to its limit by Madison-Genesis ace Tom Stewart.
Stewart formed one-third of the stunning day-long break on stage six of the race which delivered Matthias Brandle (IAM Cycling) to victory and put Alex Dowsett (Movistar) into the yellow jersey.
And he did so aboard the Zero Team, which was brought in as an alternative to the steel Genesis Volare, used by Roger Hammond’s team when on criterium duty.
The Zero Team sits top of the six-strong range of carbon frames by the Milton Keynes’ firm with the team issue bike dressed in Shimano Dura-Ace – Madison are Shimano’s UK distributor.
Every bike in the range utilises the same sub-kilo frame, with the Zero Team decorated in Madison-Genesis’ striking colours.
PRO finishing kit, another pointer to the partnership with Shimano, make the machine very much worthy of its £4,499.99 price tag.
