There’s an increasing desire for custom, made to measure frames, and while Burls is no new brand (they’ve been around for ten years), we’ll freely admit we’ve not heard of them before.

Burls is the outlet for one man, Justin Burls, who has years of experience and expertise designing and building frames, with a keen interest in satisfied customers. While steel has been the material of choice, the company offers titanium options, with the frames made in Russia.

Frames can be custom built or available from a standard range of models and sizes. Designs vary from classic horizontal top tube, compact and semi-compact with the option of curved or straight seat stays and chain stays.

Price for a titanium frame is a very reasonable £900 and £995 for a time trial frame. An audax frame is also available.

We’ll be taking a much more in depth look at the company soon, with a closer look and test of a frame to follow soon. To find out more pop over to
