The Synapse has only undergone minor changes for 2016 as you’d probably expect from a bike which has won such widespread acclaim.
But one new model that definitely catches the eye is the all-new Synapse Disc Adventure. With a classic metal and beige colour scheme (that Cannondale call ‘tree frog’ and ‘burnt orange’ which sounds far cooler), the Adventure offers both mudguard compatibility – in fact it comes as standard with these matching guards. It’s almost a gentrification of the Synapse into a bike for those who want to keep that road bike look and drop bars but at a little weatherproofing and common sense into the mix.

Frame is Cannondale’s own 6061 alloy paired to a Synapse SAVE disc carbon fork and the frame retains the 25.4 comfort-oriented seatpost of its full road sibling. Size-wise there’s a good range with 48, 51, 54, 56, 58 and 61cm options available.
