LOOK 675 Light
LOOK 675 Light
The final road bike in LOOK’s 2016 range is the 675 Light. At under 990g, it’s one of the lightest frames LOOK produce and so, as you might expect, the 675 finds itself as the climber’s bike in the range as a result.
It also makes use of a new 1.5k carbon braid; a higher modulus carbon that helps to keep overall frame weight down. The headtube and bottom bracket are both now 100 per cent carbon as well, and LOOK have also added carbon dropouts to the fork in pursuit of weight reduction. Total weight loss on the latest version of the bike is a claimed 250g.
Frame design is reminiscent of the 795, with the Aerostem that flow straight into the toptube, with a similarly wide range of angle adjustment on the stem to the 795, but with a shorter headtube than the 765 giving a more race-ready position.
The 675 shirks the integrated seatpost in favour of a more comfort-friendly 27.2mm post that comes with a bracket to hold the Di2 battery should you opt for an electronic groupset. Speaking of which, the frame is both mechanical and electronic-ready like all the bikes in LOOK’s range, so you can run whichever you prefer.
There are two models for the LOOK 675. The first comes with a Shimano Ultegra 6800 mechanical drivetrain (albeit using a 105 cassette) and matches that to a 27.2mm FSA Gossamer seatpost, FSA Vero bars, a Selle Italia Flow saddle and rolls on a set of Mavic Aksium wheels. LOOK claim all that adds up to an 8.05kg bike, and one that’ll set you back £2,999.99.
The second model is Ultegra Di2. Other than that electronic upgrade on the groupset the build is exactly the same, although the weight creeps up to 8.1kg. The Di2 version will also set you back £500 more, with a £3,499.99 RRP.
That’s it for 2016. If you’re after more information on LOOK’s range, check out the official LOOK website.
