Finally, Merida’s cyclo-cross range is made up of two bikes, based around a frame completely redesigned for 2015.
Once again, it’s made from a hydro-formed, triple-butted, 6066 aluminium alloy, with a tapered headtube. It uses similar ‘Flex Stay’ technology to the Ride Lite and Scultura Lite to add a little comfort to the rear triangle over rough ground.
Two bikes are available, with the £999.99 Cyclo-Cross 500 equipped with Shimano 105 and TRP Spyre mechanical disc brakes, while the £799.99 Cyclo-Cross 300 gets Shimano Tiagra parts and Tektro Mira mechanical disc brakes.
The Cyclo-Cross 500 has a full carbon fork with a 15mm front thru-axle, while the Cyclo-Cross 300 has an aluminium tapered fork with a standard quick release axle.
