Vermarc Squadra Windtex Overshoes (£47.99)
The lightweight, windproof fabric of Vermarc’s Squadra overshoes is quite thin, making these a great option for milder riders, as opposed to the very depths of winter.
The fabric does a really good job of keeping the wind out, though, and has a light fleece lining to provide a fair level of insulation.
Vermarc Squadra Windtex Overshoes – review
The overshoes are reinforced on the undersides to help provide a little extra durability areas prone to getting snagged on shoes or when walking off the bike. The hi-viz strips on the edges of the zips (covered by a generous flap at the top) are a handy extra touch.
Waterproofing, we found, was very good, and while the serious cold may leave you wanting something a little warmer, the low bulk of Vermarc’s overshoes means you get a comfortable, natural and close fit. The stretch of the fabric (comprised of 80 per cent polyester and 20 per cent elastane) means there’s easy to get on and off.
