Gravel bikes are another trend that have really taken off in the last 12 months. They’re high clearance, compliant road-esque bikes designed to take on a variety of terrain.
With that in mind, Panaracer have the Gravel King tyre designed, as you may imagine, to take a fair bit of punishment while still delivering performance higher than your bog standard winter tyre.
The Gravel King is billed as a ‘go anywhere’ tyre, so if you fancy heading up that gritty path that you haven’t been equipped to tackle before, you can ride up there safe in the knowledge that your wheels are equipped with tyres designed for terrain where most road bikes fear to tread.
They’re available between 23-28mm and, if you’re using them primarily on-road, at a claimed 270g for a 28mm tyre, they won’t be adding a great deal of ballast to your ride.
