Step five – resealing the system
Remove the syringe from the bleed nipple and screw the nipple closed. Remove the plastic block from the caliper and replace with the pads, taking care to ensure that excess fluid does not contaminate the pad surface. Reattach the retaining pin and the clip that holds it in place. Screw the caliper back onto the frame mounting.
Replace the plunger in the plastic funnel and unscrew the funnel from the lever. Seal the lever with the bleed nipple using an Allen key. Check the function of the caliper by gently squeezing the lever two or three times.
