Include other people in your training. For your road rides, rather than doing them by yourself, arrange to meet a friend because you’re both more likely to turn up.
If it’s raining, he’s going to think, ‘well, I probably wouldn’t normally go out but I’ve already arranged it with my friend’ and vice versa.
That way you’re more likely to keep that momentum going and to establish a routine.
That’s the most important thing about training – momentum and routine.
