Only four men pulled on the pink jersey at the 2018 Giro d'Italia, and among them were two Brits - Simon Yates and Chris Froome.

Froome's remarkable comeback victory somewhat overshadowed the performances of Yates in the end, after the Mitchelton-Scott man had dominated most of the middle of the race with three stage wins and an extended stint in the maglia rosa before paying for his efforts with the finish line in sight.

Tom Dumoulin and Rohan Dennis also pulled on the maglia rosa during the three-week race, meaning the lowest number of race leaders at the Giro since the 2007 edition (when there was also just four).

But how did Froome bounce back to claim his historic triumph, and take his place alongside just six other riders to have won the Giro d'Italia, Tour de France and Vuelta a Espana - all three of which he now holds - in a career?
