Leader of the national women’s road series, Juniper has been in good form in 2014 with victory in the Tour of the Reservoir back in April meaning she has led the series from the off. Juniper was also victorious at the London Nocturne and will look to prove her form over the tricky Curlew Cup circuit, part of the Virgin Money Cyclone, on Sunday. Success at the Three Days of Bedford has already proved her all-round credentials however, a tough final climb proving no problem for her as she looked to defend her leader’s jersey.
Of the ‘first-category’ domestic riders on show, the level below the elite, Juniper is certainly one of the form women. How she fares against the bigger-name stars such as Armitstead, Pooley and Laws remains to be seen however – Wiggle-Honda having already got the better of her in the previous national series round.
