Strava unveils Queen of the Mountains segments for Women’s Tour

Stage three: Felixstowe to Clacton (90.5km) – Friday May 9, 2014

Freston Hill provides the first climbing challenge on the third stage, rising 37m over a distance of 1.3km from 17m to 55m at an average gradient of three per cent. The pros will have a target to aim at in the form of Nicola Clipstone’s existing table topping time of 3.29, achieved with an average power output of 201 watts and at an average speed of 23kmh.

Gemma Melton’s table-topping time of 1.44 on Primrose Hill will be something for the pros to aim at on stage three of the 2014 Women’s Tour

Primrose Hill in Holbrook provides the second of the day’s QOM climbs – another 700m ascent with an average gradient of three per cent and which Gemma Melton, who tops the QOM leader board as of writing, completed in a time of 1.44 at an average speed of 24.1kmh.
