Stage one – Sunday September 7 – Liverpool

Race director Mick Bennett: “Our Grand Depart will be in the city of Liverpool. It will be our first visit to Liverpool since 2008, when the race finished there to celebrate the European Capital of Culture. Ten laps of a 13km circuit will start the 2014 Tour with a city centre stage perfectly made for sprinters. It’s a great opportunity for the tens of thousands of spectators to see all the action.”
