Race director Mick Bennett: “This brings us to one of our favourites – Devon – and the scene of so many incredible stages over the last few years. The stage is a reverse of 2011, when Mark Cavendish gifted Mark Renshaw the win into Exmouth. This time we will race from the seaside in Exmouth, via Dartmoor, to Exeter. Riders will reacquainted with Haytor, scene of Simon Yates’ incredible win last year, during the stage, as well as several of Dartmoor’s other tough climbs, ahead of an incredible run down to a difficult finish right at the heart of Exeter city centre.”
