Stage six – Friday 12 September – Bath to Hemel Hempstead

Stage six is the first of two long days which riders will use as preparation for the World Road Race Championships (Pic: Tour of Britain)

Race director Mick Bennett: Another new venue comes for us on the next day in Bath. Our route out of Bath will showcase the city before we embark on a long, 203km cross-country stage over Salisbury Plain and into the Chiltern Hills. The end of the stage six includes several large climbs in the Chilterns, namely Chinnor Hill and Kop Hill, before the finish and very fast run in to Hemel Hempstead.”
