Eight reasons why you should ride the Paris-Roubaix Challenge

Why the pavé of Paris-Roubaix should be on your bucket list

With three different routes, you can take your pick according to your level of fitness and ability over the cobbles.

While the long route (170km) does give you a shot at all of the cobbled sections in the pro race the logistics can be a challenge as it’s a point-to-point route which requires transport to the start. If you don’t fancy this, the 140km medium route provides a great compromise as it starts and finishes in Roubaix and lets you do all of the cobbles from Arenberg onwards.

Going with an organised group (like La Fuga in my case) took care of the logistics with hotel and transport to get to and from the start and finish all provided. They also laid on a handy extra feed stop before Arenberg to fill up on bottles and leave the warm kit we needed for the early start.
