January 31 – OS January Insanity, Hampshire
The Ordnance Survey January Insanity sportive takes in a lumpy route through Hampshire.
Though not too challenging – it is January, after all – the sportive, which offers routes of 40 miles and 57 miles (with 2,460ft and 3,395ft of climbing respectively), gives you the chance to boost your winter mileage on a picturesque route.
The routes have been designed to take in ‘all-weather roads’, with ‘warm’ feed stations along the way – hot food and tea is on offer – and the sportive takes in the Itchen Valley, South Downs and the Meon Valley.
Rolling out of the Sparsholt Agricultural College, the toughest climbs come near the end, providing a fair test of your winter form.
