Etape du Dales - May 17
The long-running Etape du Dales takes the top difficult rating of 5/5 on British Cycling’s sportive scale and takes in parts of Yorkshire’s 2014 Tour de France route.
The full 180km course is considered one of the toughest on the UK sportive calendar and takes in seven main ascents in total, including Fleet Moss and Buttertubs, adding up to 2,937m of climbing.
Steep, technical descents add to the challenge of a sportive which organisers say include as much climbing as a stage of the Tour de France.
