Strava launch new cycling kit and web store

Social network promises UK-based delivery to reduce shipping costs

The seemingly unstoppable rise of Strava is continuing with the hugely popular social network for athletes and cyclists launching new cycling kits and a web store.

The route mapping and tracking app has launched new and redesigned Strava cycling kits, with the UK-based store and UK-based shipping ensuring quicker, cheaper shipping costs.

Manufactured by Cuore, who also supply kit at the highest level to WorldTour team IAM Cycling, the new kits are available to buy now.

A Strava jersey, bib shorts, jacket and arm and knee warmers are all included – in both men’s and women’s versions – while Premium members can buy a special Premium jersey, bib shorts and arm warmers.

The all-black Premium kit features ‘a gradient of reflective dots to augment rider safety’.

Also included in the Strava kit is a sweatproof, zipped pocket for valiables on the jerseys, which also boast textured stretch fabric on the sleeves and side panels to boost fit and aerodynamics.

The bib shorts, meanwhile, boast a ‘high-quality, comfortable’ chamois and laser-cut grippers, alongside a lightweight, comfortable and breathable fabric.

Pricing for the new Strava Cycling Kit will be £86 for the jersey and £106 for the bib shorts, while the Premium kit is an extra four pounds for each.

The launch of the brand new Strava Store also features more gear, localised pricing and greatly reduced shipping costs thanks to there being no import fees. UK delivery is expected to take two to five days.

Strava’s VP of marketing, Gareth Nettleton, said: “We’re pleased to offer both new and our existing loyal customers some great new kits and a better experience when ordering.
