Good Friday

Revolution 10
Bradley Wiggins, at the Revolution 11

Olympic champion Bradley Wiggins (Cofidis) enters 2006 Good Friday Track Meeting. A great favourite of the large Easter crowd, Bradley Wiggins will race at the April 14 Track Meeting to be held at South London’s Herne Hill Velodrome.

The last time Wiggins featured at Herne Hill was in 2003 and a huge crowd roared and shook the Velodrome. That year he raced against World Champions and Tour de France stars Bradley McGhee and Stuart O’Grady – Not forgetting a number of UK world champions, national stars and local talent.

The race programme for the 2006 is still coming together, as are entries, but you can expect more top names to join Wiggins on April 14.

Bradley Wiggins was the first Britain to win three Olympic medals at a single games for 40 years. At the Athens Velodrome in 2004 he won Gold in the Individual Pursuit, silver in the Team Pursuit & bronze in the Madison.

He won the World Pursuit Championship in 2003 and currently rides for professional road race team Cofidis.
