The disc brake revolution is no longer coming – it’s arrived.
We saw just a smattering of disc-equipped road bikes, and most significantly from Colnago, at Eurobike in 2012, while last year’s show saw that number rise significantly.
However, this year’s Eurobike jamboree, where the cycling industry assembled to display their wares for the forthcoming model year, saw a disc-equipped road bike seemingly around every corner of the huge exhibition centre in Friedrichshafen, Germany.
As a result, if you’re in the market for a road bike with disc brakes, then you’re not short of options – particularly if you want a comfort/endurance/sportive bike with Shimano Ultegra.
