The 2014 Tour of Britain starts in Liverpool on Sunday – and you could win £500 of dare2b clothing by guiding your RoadCyclingUK Fantasy Tour of Britain team to glory.

We’ve teamed up with dare2b, the official supplier of the Friends Life Tour of Britain, to offer the winning directeur sportif £500 in new cycling kit, while second prize is £300 of clothing and third prize is worth £150 of gear.

All you need to do is to head to http://fantasycycling.roadcyclinguk.com and select your nine-rider squad, as well as a bonus stage and a bonus team.

By signing up and selecting a team by 10am on Sunday September 7, the first day of the race, you will also be placed into a random prize draw to win two VIP hospitality tickets to the final stage of the Tour of Britain in London on Sunday September 14.

How to play

You will score points if any of your riders finish in the top 20 on a stage, if they help a team-mate to victory, or if they lead the overall, mountains or points classifications.

Stages are split into two categories, with category one stages – the key days where the Tour of Britain will effectively be won – worth 50 per cent more points. You’ll also receive double points on your selected bonus stage and you’ll get more points if any riders from your selected bonus team finish in the top five on a stage.

You must choose nine riders, one bonus team and one bonus stage to score points and you must submit your selections by 10:00am on September 7 to be eligible to score points on stage one. You’ll also be given 15 transfers to use throughout the Tour – please refer to the rules page for a full breakdown.
