For those of you that didn’t know Welsh road rider Nicole Cooke is a former Junior World Cross Country Champion. Well in Belgium last weekend, at the first round of the MTB world cup, she may have confused a few people on the start line. She then put all her road strength into the first few laps to get into the top ten, but faded in the muddy conditions to finish a creditable 13th. Riding in GB colours this is a part of her plan to diversify to find her strength for the future.
