We’ve been treated to a visual feast of spectacular pro bikes this season as the pro peloton raced across the globe.
From wind-cheating, aero machines for the speed kings to comfort-focused bikes to tackle the cobbles of Belgium and northern France, there has certainly been no shortage of steeds to add to your ‘lust-have list’.
But in a sport full of beautifully crafted machines, it takes a lot to stand out from the bunch – be it an innovative design, eye-catching custom paint job or a rider who simply lets its results do the talking.
With the season at a close, we’ve taken the opportunity to round up of our favourites from 2014 – starting with the bikes which have propelled the fast men of the peloton to successes this year.
From Mark Cavendish’s Specialized S-Works Venge to the Giant Propel on which Marcel Kittel enjoyed success at the Tour de France on British soil, let’s take a look at our picks of the bunch.
