Alberto Contador’s Tinkoff-Saxo team marked the first day of their Gran Canaria training camp by unveiling a camouflage training kit from the squad’s clothing sponsor, Sportful.
The team has taken the step of introducing a training kit alongside a race kit, as is common in a number of sports, including football.
Having worn a yellow and blue jersey in 2014, swapped for a fluoro ensemble at the Tour de France, Tinkoff-Saxo will unveil their 2015 race kit at a presentation in Moscow on December 19.
Before then, the team, whose riders for 2015 include six-time Grand Tour champion Contador and new signing Peter Sagan, will compete a two-week training camp on Gran Canaria. Contador and co have already undertaken a pre-season team building exercise by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
A limited edition run of Tinkoff-Saxo’s camouflage training kit will be available to the public from December 4.
The pictures of the training kit revealed by the team also show that while the squad will continue to ride Specialized bikes, Shimano have replaced SRAM as groupset sponsor for the 2015 campaign.
