Young British rider James Shaw will step up to the WorldTour in 2017, after agreeing his first professional contract with Lotto-Soudal.
Shaw, 20, will sign with the Belgian team as a neo-pro next season after impressing as a stagiaire in the latter part of 2016, including riding the Tour of Britain, having previously been with the Lotto-Soudal Under-23 team.
A former winner of the junior Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne race, and top-five finisher in the Liege-Bastogne-Liege U23 edition earlier this year, Shaw has signed a two-year deal with Lotto-Soudal.
