Cheltenham Racecourse will welcome cycles not horses for four weeks in June and July when it plays host to the Leisure Lakes Bikes Circuit series which returns for the second year.
The series will be held over four rounds, all taking place at Cheltenham racecourse on a tight and twisting circuit within the main racecourse complex. The first race starts on the 18th of June and the last race on the 9th July. There will be two races, youth and senior, at every round.
The youth races will cover a wide range of age groups from under eight’s to under sixteen’s, which will give them a great oppurtunity to experience racing for the first time.
The senior race, promoted by Velo Club Montepellier, will last for an hour and is open to women as well as category 2.3.4 riders. There’s a £100 prize for the winner of each race. A bar and café area will again be provided in the finish area. A live commentator and music will also add extra atmosphere to this unique event. Entrance for spectators will be free of charge and parking will be provided in the main car park.
