Stage 6 of the 2009 Tour de France saw Garmin-Slipstream’s David Millar come nail-bitingly close to winning the stage, until the peloton caught him with just two kilometres to go.
The television pictures showed just how hard David Millar was working, proof if it was needed that he really wanted his first stage win for six years.
The Garmin-Slipstream riders are all equipped with Garmin Edge 705 GPS computers so they can analyse data from each stage. Fortunately for us they’ve made this information available for all to view, and it makes for revealing reading.
