The Edinburgh Nocturne will kick off the 2009 Nocturne series on 30 May, and Garmin-Slipstream riders Cameron Meyer and David Millar are both on the start list.
What started out in 2007 in London’s Smithfield has now expanded to Edinburgh and Blackpool for 2009, taking the unique Nocturne evening of racing to a wider audience.
The current World Points race champion, Cameron Meyer will go head to head with top UK professionals, inluding Russell Downing and Malcolm Elliott, Dean Downing, Kristian House and Chris Newton and Rob Hayles and Ed Clancy.
The popular Smithfield Nocturne will now attract some of the UK’s top female cyclists, thanks to the inclusion of a new women’s race at the event on 6 June. The addition of the women’s race ensures that the Smithfield Nocturne is appealing to ride for all types of racing cyclist.
