Bramley Sunday Sportive moves to Dunsfold

The final event of Trail Break’s 2008 Sunday Sportive season, to take place on October 12th, is moving venue from Bramley to nearby Dunsfold Park to accommodate demand.

In only their second year, the Sunday Sportives have exceeded all expectations in popularity, attracting 3-400 riders per event throughout the season. Coupled with a hugely successful 1200 rider Southern Sportive in September, this has generated strong interest and pre-entry in the season-closing Bramley event. The pressure this placed on the intimate Bramley venue and parking limitations has led to the decision to relocate to a more spacious venue.

Just six miles south of Bramley, Dunsfold Park is certainly that. Most famous recently as the home of BBC’s Top Gear, the Park will make a fitting venue to bring down the curtain on a superb season.

“Confirming this venue has meant that we have had to hold off of releasing our final event route a little longer, but it’s great news for the Sunday Sportives.” Says Trail Break’s Martin Harrison, “It’s a luxury problem having to change plans to meet growth in popularity and this season has certainly proved popular! Dunsfold will hold the event comfortably, lets us use our first choice of course and is only six miles from the originally planned venue, so it’s just as easy to get too.”

If you’ve already booked or are planning to go to the event, make sure you know about the new location and tell any friends who might have entered – a location map and directions can be found here here and details of the event route are here.
