Evening criterium racing kicks off at Hillingdon Circuit tonight (April 5), continuing every Tuesday until August 16.
Organised by BC West Thames, the first three weeks of the programme starts with youth racing for all ages from 6.30pm, with two senior races starting at 7pm.
Racing then starts 15 minutes later as the evening light get longer. Distances are controlled by the available light for safe racing.
The two senior races are run concurrently, starting 45 seconds apart, with one for E/1/2/3 categories and the other for 3/4 categories.
A £10 one-off registration charge applies, £5 for youths, which purchases the numbers to be worn for the whole season, plus a £10 entry fee for each race, or £3 for youths.
There are cash prizes for each senior race, while the youth races are run on a season-long points basis. There are prizes for third cat riders on a race-within-the race basis.
Once the Tuesday series concludes, racing will continue on four Saturday afternoons from August 20. The Hillingdon GP will take place on May 15.
