British Cycling has this week revealed new course dates for its leading entry level and track cycling specific coaching courses.
Dates for two Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Cycling two-day courses in Milton Keynes and Deeside, North Wales as well as new dates for the Level 2 Track Coaching course at the Manchester Velodrome have been announced.
The Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Cycling (L1CCC) is the entry level-award in British Cycling’s Coach Education Programme. It is ideal for eager parents or for teaching assistants new to coaching and cycling who are looking to get involved in existing Go-Ride sessions or in setting up new activities. The L1CCC certificate qualifies coaches to independently prepare for, deliver and review pre-prepared coaching sessions to groups of adults or children.
The Level 2 Track Coaching Award is aimed at coaches new to the track environment, as well as current track coaches who want to develop their existing knowledge and skills. It was the first of six British Cycling discipline specific qualifications to be launched and is a pre-requisite to the new Level 3 Certificate in Coaching Track Cycling, which is set to be launched within the next month.
