Limited places for the sold-out Wiggle Dragon Ride 2014 are available for riders who pledge to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The hugely popular sportive, organised by Human Race, sold out within hours of going on general sale, with no shortage of hardy riders committing to the daunting new 300km Dragon Devil.
However, while the shorter – but no less challenging – Gran Fondo and Medio Fondo distances also sold out, there are limited places available on both through Macmillan.
Riders who commit to fundraising £200 towards the cancer support charity can snap up the limited places remaining – although these are also expected to sell out within the next few weeks.
The 222km Gran Fondo route sets out from Margam Park, Port Talbot, and takes in almost 3,000m of climbing over a route which features the Rhigos, Black Mountain and Devil’s Elbow.
At 152km, the Medio Fondo is shorter but takes in more than 2,000m of climbing as it follows a similar route through the picturesque Brecon Beacons.
The Wiggle Dragon Ride also offers a 45km Corto option, which returns to the billing after a one-year absence, and the Macmillan Cycletta – a women-only ride which will follow the same Corto route, with entries open in November.
