It is easy to forget Joanna Rowsell is just 24 years old as she continues to add gold medals to her impressive palmares.
She bagged another in Manchester on Saturday night, adding individual pursuit success to a world record-breaking win in the team event 24 hours earlier.
And Rowsell was not the only one celebrating after a bumper day at the home of British Cycling in the first event of the 2013/14 UCI Track World Cup season.
Irishman Martyn Irvine, Scotland’s rising star Kate Archibald and the rainbow jersey clad Welshwoman Becky James also bagged medals of varying colour.
Played out in front of a packed Manchester crowd, there was no shortage of star displays and shock results on the wooden boards.
